Fixater are:

Fixater is a 3-piece rock band playing both covers and original material.
We have an extensive repertoire featuring classics from Buddy Holly, Thin Lizzy and Hendrix to contemporary rock and pop from The Killers, U2, The Stereophonics and many more besides!

The band are entirely self-contained with our own high quality PA system tailored to the size of the venue.

Guitarist Kevin Prockter and bassist Robert Godfrey first met whilst playing for ex-Sigue Sigue Sputnik drummer Ray Mayhew's "Mayhem Deranged" project.
In 2008 the band cut the track “Here I Go Again” which was initially released on the 272 Records Compilation – “Riot On Sunset Volume 18” but it went on to become a successful digital single in its own right.
Looking to take a different musical direction, Kevin and Robert formed Fixater initially playing covers as a duo and more recently adding Andrew "Jos" Joslin on drums.
In addition, the band are amassing original material for an album which is due for release in 2013.

Kevin's career goes back to the late 70s as lead guitarist for "The Rave" which regularly played in London at that time and had a substantial local following from their hometown of Braintree. The Rave won a talent contest in Bishop Stortford in 1979 which ultimately lead to a review in Sounds magazine.
Kevin went on to play for “Ritual” (circa 1980), “The Steve Crowther Band” cutting the single “My Machine” (circa 1982) and many more.
In 1993 he formed the solo cover act “Quantum Leaps” also known as “Kevin Gibb” and has been regularly gigging across the UK to date.

Jos (also from the Braintree area) played drums in the "Deadly Charm" with Kev and then later went on to play drums for "One Track Mind", "Wanderlust", "Anthem", "Sterile Prophet" and many more.

Rob first played bass for industrial metal band "MaxDmyz" around 2005, later joining "Mayhem Deranged" in 2007. Prior to that was he lead singer for gothic rock band "The Forbidden".
